Graffito glass sculpture by Ercole Barovier, Barovier & Toso.
This sculpture is made of clear glass decorated with gold dust,traversed by glass “laces” in shades of intense red and lattimo (opaque white glass).
Large glass bubbles are trapped in each “lace”.
According to Barovier and Toso, still in business today with a production mainly focused on lighting, this sculpture is a variant of the “Graffito Barbarico Oro” series presented in 1969. This series, designed by Ercole Barovier and launched in 1975, remained in the catalogue for a short time period.
